POSITION TITLE: Controller/VP Finance & Accounting
REPORTS TO: President
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This executive-level Finance & Accounting position will also act as a hands-on manager supporting and establishing accounting procedures and data analysis, in addition to supervising the IT Team. Provides executive team with financial leadership.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage finance team’s administration of AP, AR, GL, payroll, cost accounting and budgeting.
- Coordinate the preparation of departmental financial plans and financial forecasts.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports for corporate and internal uses.
- Support Roper Corporate accounting and financial management procedures and policies.
- Provide leadership and direction for the IT team (2 people currently.)
- Maintain relationships with key customers and suppliers.
- Ensure ongoing SOX compliance.
- Process improvement of systems and processes related to Finance and other cross-departmental requirements.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing company.
7+ years of supervisory/management experience. Excellent people management and communication skills are required.
Proven ability to collaborate, with teamwork orientation, across multiple business functions and external organizations (including contract manufacturing entities and Corporate.)
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Accounting or related field required, CPA desired and MBA is a plus.

POSITION TITLE: Senior Embedded Systems Engineer
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Design, develop, and enhance embedded system firmware that communicates with wireless products and Internet Protocol based networks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design new, innovative embedded systems applications, many of which will include using Internet Protocol connectivity.
- Utilize Rapid Prototype techniques to create mock-ups of products to be used by Marketing and Sales to validate market requirements.
- Effectively use product development methodologies and design tools. This includes producing and maintaining analysis, formal product specifications, software architecture, high-level design, detailed design, modular coding, revision control, unit testing and product verification testing. Design reviews are conducted throughout the product development process.
- Effectively use Inovonics’ Product Development Process using our internal procedures, i.e., coding standards, software revision control, ECN procedures, project time allocation, etc. Participate in the continuous improvement of engineering practices and procedures.
- Provide marketing support, which includes providing technical evaluations and developing project and product cost estimates for new product ideas.
- Provide Engineering support to Sales, Customer Service and Tech Support.
- Provide Project Management on assigned projects. This includes estimating project cost and time. It also includes doing project schedules, making assignments, calling meetings, coordinating activities, completing Product Development Process and/or Engineering Change Notice documentation, assist the Project Team in meeting deadlines/milestones on schedule, help the team maintain the balance between innovation and meeting project milestones, etc.
- Continuously improve skills as required, seeking training through seminars, literature, industry shows/workshops and relevant course work.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five plus years experience developing new products that include embedded Internet Protocol capability utilizing off the shelf TCP/IP stacks and Real Time Operating Systems.
- Experience implementing TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, HTTP, HTTPS, SNTP, DHCP, ARP, and Auto-IP in embedded systems.
- Experience developing products using microcontroller firmware, and digital and mixed mode electronics.
- Experience developing low level interfaces for inter-processor communications, and interfacing with off-processor components.
- Very strong experience in C programming for embedded systems.
- Experience using assembly language programming for embedded systems.
- Experience developing web servers for embedded systems.
- Experience using formal Product Development Processes.
- Experience using software revision control systems.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully transferring embedded system products into Production and providing Production/Sustaining support through the product life cycle.
- Experience developing products for life-safety, security, and high reliability products.
- Experience with radio frequency systems a plus.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- BSEE or BSCS. Advanced degrees a plus.
A demonstrated interest in continuing education in relevant technology areas.

Design, develop, and enhance software applications including GUI and database design for implementation on Windows based computers.

- Multiple project experience using MS SQL and developing Windows applications and services.
- Multiple project experience developing applications with Win Forms and 3rd party GUI tools.
- Strong experience using MS LINQ to database and objects.
- Ability to develop applications using n-Tier design approach.
- Knowledge/experience in object-oriented software development methodologies.
- Experience writing Windows Server applications and services.
- Experience in developing software to analyze data, provide trend analysis, as well as algorithm development.
- Experience using formal Product Development Processes.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully transferring software products into Production and provide Production/Sustaining support through the product life cycle.
- Demonstrated success in designing robust software products.
- Experience with Linux and Embedded Linux is a plus.
- Experience with embedded firmware, WiFi, ISO 9001 certified companies, SVN and continuous integration are all preferred.
- Agile/SCRUM experience a plus.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- BSEE or BSCS. Advanced degrees a plus.
